About me
As a graduate of the BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism course at Bournemouth University, through my employment at Mixmag and relevant work experience, I have developed and honed a diverse set of skills that make me an adaptable writer, as well as a dedicated, personable person with excellent time-keeping abilities. I have made specific development to my writing versatility, whether it for news, features, online or copywriting, among others. I have also learnt to offer the highest standard in the busiest of environments, due to a quick turnover of deadlines, while also making sure it is to an elevated quality. Interactions with my colleagues, making sure we were all on the same page, were also vital to the completion of any task. This ability to be personable also helped my ability to converse well with interviewees, other departments, and other companies on a daily basis. I have also developed I.T. skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Premiere, and other systems. Outside of the work environment, I am a keen creative writer, which has developed my imagination as a person to look at problems from different perspectives.

• Creating engaging content with an insight into what appeals to Mixmag’s audience. This involved pitching original content, conducting interviews that developed my communicative skills and writing articles in a variety of forms that stuck to the magazine’s tone of voice
• Responsible for specific areas of the magazine, which included decision making over the content, writing and editing a lot of the content, and also delegating work to others, ensuring it all met Mixmag’s standards. I also came up with new ideas that improved the quality of these sections
• Assisted the editor to ensure the completion of the monthly magazine. Due to constant long- and short-term deadlines, this involved noticing potential issues early and finding solutions to them with speed, as well as completing last-minute additions in a precise and timely manner. This meant my communication with the whole team was crucial to the completion of the magazine each month
