My role at Yardsale covers many bases as lead positions typically do in smaller businesses. I thrive in an environment where I get to wear many hats, with heavy involvement in every corner of the business from our financials to our creative.
The first core pillar of my role is heading up and controlling the distribution part of Yardsale. Since I started in 2020 I have reshaped the way Yardsale distributes its clothing, opened up new global territories (Canada and USA), renegotiated distribution deals with Europe and Japan, and brought our domestic distribution in-house.
I collect pre-orders, manage POs with factories, keep everyone posted with production updates, organise and track freight globally, handle discrepancies, organsie stock, and manage drops for our EU and UK online and then finally invoice our 25+ shops in the UK alongside our 11 global distributions. I also manage our warehouse in London, keeping track of stock, understanding what deadstock we have then selling it to different parts of the world, and managing the warehouse team with there day to day operations.
In the background, I will be constantly monitoring all our global distributions, focusing on growth and making sure these partners are being responsible ambassadors for our brand.
