About me
I am a mixed media designer with a special focus on knitted textiles. The concepts surrounding my work often include and are targeted towards the health and wellbeing market.
Projects
- Returning to BreathReturning to Breath has explored the relationship between breath, body, and movement. The vision for this project was to promote the benefits of practicing breathing techniques and encourage users to tune into the rhythms of their breath. Returning to breath developed into a series of textiles, where weighted knits are contrasted with light pleated silks. Using a variety of techniques, the silks were dyed in vivid tones, capturing the essence of connectivity, energy and rhythm found in breath.
- I Have Germs Too!Bringing joy and surprise to hygiene. I Have Germs Too!, aims to help children build a healthy relationship with handwashing, by providing information about the workings of our immune system and how we can keep ourselves safe. This project was developed in the height of the coronavirus pandemic, and sought to understand the long lasting effects of this challenging time on children's mental health. - Morgan stripeLive brief project with Morgan Motor Company- To create a new automotive interior design for the Morgan three wheeler, that would appeal to the next generation of Morgan buyers. In keeping with the Morgan aesthetic of traveling in style, my designs featured classic monochromatic aesthetic paired with deep hues of maroon and hunting green. Combining traditional tartan patterns ,inspired by Burberry, with a sports appeal and endurance. Each of my designs were woven with polyester for longevity
