Charlotte is a First Class BA (Hons) Photography graduate.
She is an internationally recognised freelance photographer, skilled in fine art, still life and documentary photographer.
She has been featured on Rankin’s 2020 ‘Beauty’, Humble Arts Foundation, Open Doors Gallery, Black River Journal, Pupil Sphere and Classics Magazine. She is currently a Fresh Eyes 2021 Talent.
Her work in summary re-visualises complex human experience and connection to nature, through internal and external factors and processes, with a focus on time, place, objects and memory throughout various projects.
Charlotte draws upon historical and cinematic practices, psychology and philosophy.
Key themes are: flow, energy, intensity, movement, light, senses and emotion.
Perception and memory are key influences since losing family members and being a triplet herself.
Charlotte always aims to question and storytelling whilst simultaneously creating a sense of calmness.
Currently seeking still life / documentary commissioned work, photography assistant, curation roles and artist residencies.

- Sunflowers in Her Hair‘Sunflowers in her hair’ is a photographic project and photobook that explores human experience, connection and nature that aims to create a sense of calmness in response to anxiety of social pressures. Water, air and light are key subjects: humans and nature share similar needs. Re-visualisations of time, place, memory and nostalgia respond to how time and place can never occur in exactly the same way again, where misalignment and imperfections are key to documenting that moment. - Stop and StareStop and Stare is a project and photobook that investigates the dynamic balanced relationship between perception and memory, influenced by having a lazy eye when younger. External factors are considered of global warming and technology, as well as internal factors of sleep, dreams, imagination, the ‘front and backstage’ and happiness.
