About me

Projects
  • Year 13 - Unit 12 - 'and the winner is...'
Year 13 - Unit 12 - 'and the winner is...'The pupils were asked to design an award for the different year groups to be given out in the end of year celebration ceremony. Following the design cycle we explored and experimented with different materials and designs, taking inspiration from artists and designers, before finally having a professional meeting to discuss their ideas and a trophy being selected by the client (Headteacher).
  • Year 12 - Unit 1 - 'Juxtaposition'

  • Grade 9 - Disguise Component 1 Mock Exam
Grade 9 - Disguise Component 1 Mock Exam
  • Year 10 Texture
Year 10 TextureThe pupils studied a mock exam style question which will form a small project in Component 1 of AQA Art and Design GCSE. We followed a series of experimentations around the theme, finishing with their own personal response to the theme.
  • Year 9 Architecture
Year 9 ArchitectureThe pupils studied an adapted GCSE project to make it more suitable for the academic year. This project closely mirrors the GCSE protocol so has been an insight for the pupils taking their options this year. Using skills they will have acquired in Year 8, we have worked on developing their skills and learning new techniques.
  • Year 8 Cubsim
Year 8 CubsimAt the beginning of this project we introduced Year 8 to perspective, leaning about the different points you can create, moving onto a multi-view point perspective inspired by Cubism. Year 8 explored a ranged of different materials and techniques throughout this project.
