As a driven and self motivated creative I am quick thinking, highly organised and have excellent attention to detail and problem solving abilities. Passionate about music and video, I have created music videos and digital content under the name of SON as well as set up small label Deadbeat and Down alongside working as Marketing and Product Development at Annie Sloan.
In this role I got to create a Technical Department, overseeing a technical team of three as well as two designers. My work involves generating new product ideas, planning our product development cycle, and seeing products through from idea, design, production and into our global markets whilst adhering to strict deadlines and budgets.
I founded SON with the W+K Creative creative Katie Harrison with an ambition to create provocative and relevant online content and music videos. We own every part of this process including direction, production and marketing. Working as part of a small team I created and executed marketing campaigns throughout Europe, North America, Australia and South Africa. These campaigns involved employing strategies across several social media platforms, using Google Adwords, creating content, running photo and video shoots, and event planning and management.
Here I assisted with research, interviews, filming at shows and the running of shoots. We created episodes with artists such as No Age and Dan Deacon.
During my internship for this record label my main responsibilities were writing press releases and news to tight deadlines, looking after release schedules, liaising with press and updating the website.
