About me
I have studied Architecture, Design, Literature and finally Theatre and I am now accumulating all my skills by completing my MA in Performance Design at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. I have a broad range of interests, lying in design, architecture, set design, literature and writing. Throughout my previous years my experience has multiplied and now, I am specialising in site-specific and outdoor spacial design. I am aiming to work in community-based projects to develop spaces for performances and local creativity projects. My wholehearted curiosity towards the world means I am highly adaptable, great at managing a significant workload and always aiming higher.
Projects
- Costume Design for Uncle Vanya by Anya Reissmy three wonderous women have developmental costume designs, as the summer progresses their attitudes and their characters develop. They rub off on each other and end the play as mature, calm and accepting women. my three awful male instigators of repressed passion have costume changes which reflect the lack of character development these 3 endure.
- set design project - Uncle Vanya by Anya Reissmy first theatre set model box completed for my first project presentation. Uncle Vanya by Anya Reiss with director Hope Thain. the two languages of design depict the two worlds which encompass the family over the course of a summer. the sculptural forest glimmers as the spiritual mother nature protects or threatens their individual freedom. the wooden converted farmhouse is their attempt at regaining control over an uncontrollable force. final photo is closing image.
