I am a professional Fine Artist, who enjoys capturing a range of historical and contemporary themes and subjects in a predominantly realistic style, but sometimes with a surreal twist, working in oil paint, pencil, and charcoal. I began producing commissions and selling paintings in 2004 when my teachers purchased my coursework. I was commissioned by my secondary school to draw a picture for Professor Robert Winston, presenter of BBC programmes Child of Our Time and Superhuman. Aside from commissions and pursuing my projects, I display and sell my paintings and drawings at national and international exhibitions, auctions, galleries, and charities. I chose to study English Literature at university and have pursued my interest in medieval literature, renaissance literature, romanticism, and philosophy, ever since and which have often influenced my artwork. I write an art blog to complement my process, and share my experiences of galleries and museums, as well as creating subsequent artworks. Similar to Oxford University's desire to bring their collections to life and based largely on my interest in medieval literature such as Gawain and the Green Knight, Galahad, and the writings of La Bellexxx and Lancelot. One of my works in progress includes an oil painting on wood of a medieval Italian knight riding through woodland on the famous German Gothic horse from The Wallace Collection. In 2019, I participated in a new Skills to Film initiative at Pinewood Studios, where they encouraged me to transfer my drawing and painting skills into the film industry.
