I am a highly creative and innovative individual - with 9 years’ experience in Graphic Design. I have a background in publishing, working in Special Sales/customer publishing and I’m always willing to take on new challenges. Most recently I worked for Egmont Publishing – one of the largest children’s publishers in the UK with a focus on well-loved brands and licences such as: Disney, Star Wars, Minecraft, Tin-Tin, Winnie-the-Pooh, Thomas & Friends and Mr. Men. I also worked on fiction titles past and present such as Enid Blyton, Michael Grant, Jim Smith and classic picture books such as ‘The Little Prince’ with well known author/illustrators such as Julia Donaldson, Lydia Monks and Shirley Hughes. My work in publishing spans children’s magazine layout, marketing and books. My skills range from creating bespoke products for customers, as well as re-use, re-formatting and illustration. I have also created Style-Guides for certain children’s’ Licenses.
Projects
- Star WarsI worked on the timeless brand of Star War, designing new covers, reusing and resizing existing books, refreshing the covers and combining content from other books. Beyond The World of Colouring for WH Smiths meant that Si-Fi fans could colour in these stunning illustrations of Princess Leia, Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Other titles included getting creative with colouring by numbers, focusing the mind with dot to dot and unwinding with therapeutic, colouring activities. All were hot sellers
- Little Miss Princess TinThe Little Miss Tin was a great project to work on and was a WH Smith’s exclusive, designing the covers and interiors of all the books. The Mr. Men covers I designed as part of a Daily Mail deal were no 3, 4, 7 and 9 all in the same week of August 2017, in the Children’s Book Chart.
