About me
Shifting into a portfolio career after 18 years in education. My big passion is for inspiring young people to remove the barriers holding them back so that they can achieve their full potential. I believe that education should be inspirational, fun and immersive. I home educated my children through primary school where we spent our days learning collaboratively at workshops, interactive theatre and museum experiences. I have an unhealthily large collection of children’s books and I love developing educational resources. I love writing to help people to help themselves. I write blogs, articles and website content about causes and issues I am passionate about (often education and well-being related). I am particularly good at researching complicated topics and presenting them in way that is easy to understand. I have a very geeky interest in grammar and language generally and a particular interest in the way in which the use of language affects mental wellbeing. I avidly read books on neuroscience and the mind/body connection. When I am not working, I can often be found backpacking or interrailing around Europe with my husband and kids in search of snow, sea, sun, culture and wine.
