About me
I am an enthusiastic experimental embroiderer who has a large interest in embroidery and constructed textiles. While using unusual materials I have gained alot of experience problem solving to challenge peoples perception of embroidery. I use a mixture of hand embroidery, digital stitch and construction techniques to create textural 3D art pieces that evoke a reaction out of the observer. I also enjoy sharing and encouraging people to get involved with crafts as I find this can be very rewarding.

During the family day of the inspired festival I was able to teach children some embroidery skills and make sure the workshop ran smoothly. I gained valuable people skills during this as I spoke to people of all ages and abilities.

Here I was able to help assist in workshops created to encourage refugee women to interact and get involved with textiles. The ve weeks were used to make a banner crafted from various textiles skills and processes that was involved in a procession to mark the centenary of women's surage. It was great working alongside Aimee Bourne and getting involved in a community project. I was also able to develop my people skills by meeting a wide variety of people from Ikon gallery, mothership itself, and also Lucy Orta.
