About me
I am a textile design graduate with a strength for drawing and print-based design. I have spent the past three years working as an Early Years Practitioner, with a focus on art, which has enabled me to think on my feet, and become a natural at multi-tasking. I am now looking at finding a job where I can once again fully put my creative skills to use.

    As an art specialist at this pre-prep school, I worked with children aged between 2.5 and 4.5 years, making sure they experienced a wide variety of art materials and techniques. Not only was looking after and teaching the children key, but the job has taught me to manage my workload and the importance of time-keeping and prioritising. Termly and weekly paperwork, meant I am able to multitask, and know the importance of keeping to deadlines. Key responsibilities • Fire Marshall (September 2016- July 2018) • Multi-building key holder – I was responsible for locking the building on a weekly basis • Proof reading end of term reports/documents distributed to 55 sets of parents • Fully Qualified Paediatric First Aid (May 2018), Epipen and Child Safeguarding trained • Teaching classes of 8-16 children; story and circle time with up to 45 children at a time • Assisting children at snack times and lunch times, with an awareness of medical conditions and allergies • Organising and partaking in school trips to different museums and the Zoo • Student artwork won regionally and shortlisted for an award at a national competition (ISA National Art Competition 2016)

    During this three year course I explored all areas of textile design; weave, knit, print, embroidery, before specialising in print. For my final project I focussed mainly on digital prints of my ink/marker drawings of London, which I then turned into cushions and large-scale backdrops/ wall pieces.

    Over the course of this year I explored a range of media and projects such as fine art, ceramics, and theatre and costume design, before specialising in textiles. My final project, inspired by the minerals and rocks at the Natural History Museum, consisted of delicate manipulated fabric, constructed as various accessories such as head and neck pieces, bracelets and rings.
