About me
I am a 21 year old aspiring Fine Artist nearing the end of my fine art degree course. I consider myself a determined and conscientious individual where I aim to create new connections and bring my own artistic skills to any opportunity. Having had experience within multiple creative art institutions I have developed my own artistic practice primarily working with painting and sculpture. Having been selected for the Remet Bronze prize I was fortunate enough to then go on to complete a two-week internship at the A.B. Fine Art Foundry in East London, working with the ceramic shell technique for bronze casted commissions, alongside this I have also had 3 months’ work experience as an artist's assistant, providing me with insight and motivation needed in order to become a part of the contemporary art world.

     - Poplar, London, UKInternship
Completing a two-week internship at the A.B. Fine Art Foundry has been a notable experience for me. They are a bronze casting foundry where I had the opportunity to be involved with the different processes and ways in which a work of art is commissioned to be cast in bronze through the Foundry’s specialist ceramic shell technique. Having worked with wax sculpture in my own practice, I was placed with the team of mould makers, the first process of the ceramic shell technique whereby a rubber mould is made from the artists original object, allowing the wax to be set and poured into for multiple reproductions. Once the wax has set, finishing can take place, an essential step to the accuracy and refinery of the sculpture before it is cast in ceramic, fired and poured with bronze. Working on the likes of Tracy Emin, Yayoi Kusama and LR Vandy, I applied focus and precision in order to ‘finish’ and ‘sprue’ up multiple waxes ready to be made into ceramic shells.

Artist Assisstant to James OstrerKRISTIN HJELLEGJERDE GALLERY
     - London, United KingdomFull Time
Over the course of the summer I had the opportunity to work alongside the Fine Artist James Ostrer. My duties involved cleaning and upkeep of the studio, painting walls, running errands such as purchasing artist materials, photographing artworks, stretching canvases, gilding objects and offering critiques on the work. All this took place over 3 months, in which led up to his exhibition on the 19th of September. During his exhibition I acted as a gallery assistant, greeting guests and buyers and serving drinks. This proved to be an invaluable experience which provided an insight into the contemporary art world and the artist studio.
