About me

I am currently available for video editing and Edit Assistance positions. My most recent role was a Video Processing Operator at Little Dot Studios. I have previously worked as a Freelance Ingest Operator at Deluxe, via Soho Runners. This involved spot-checking files and entering metadata for files for Clients like Disney, Netflix and MGM. I have recently been an Interactive Edit Assistant for CBBC’s Bafta award-winning and Best Digital Children’s Content of the 2019 Broadcast Digital Awards ‘Secret Life of Boys’ As a Video Editor I have edited Documentaries, Corporate videos, Weddings and Pitch videos on a multitude of editing programmes. These include Final Cut Pro 7 and X, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Avid. From the rough cut to the final edit I can create creative, polished videos with grading and music and some motion graphics. I have synced videos for Netflix, made web-links for Warner Bros. and made corporate videos for the BBC. Editing has been my hobby for years and I continue to love having it as a profession.

Adobe Premiere Pro: - Made films and television programmes broadcast-ready by removing slates, bars and tones and textless elements. - Found the best place for ad breaks to go at even intervals throughout the video file. Added video and audio transitions and a second gap for each ad break to be placed. - Used the transcribe tool to identify ‘coming up’ sections and removed them. Metadata: - added metadata such as ad break timecodes and copyright information to tickets on Asana and to an excel spreadsheet. QC: - spot-checked files in 3 places to check for glitches, audio issues, correct file format and that the ad break placement were smooth.

QC Content: - Spot checked files to ensure they are not corrupt and that the audio and slate information are correct. Metadata: - Entered in metadata for the files including the timecode for the different sections and the Video and Audio specifications. The files are then ingested into Deluxe One so clients including Disney, the BBC and Warner Brothers can access their broadcast-ready content.
