About me
I’ve been working in live music for the last 3 years, most recently as the Music Booker for Omeara & Flat Iron Square in London Bridge. Omeara is a 320 capacity live room, and up to 750 capacity clubnight space. I’ve been the Booker for Omeara since it’s launch in October 2016 and have gained valuable experience in booking multi-genre artists and club brands. Hand in hand with this, I’ve built and maintained relationships with promoters, agents, artists and show staff.
We have managed to secure some of the best up and coming talent, alongside established artists for underplays at the venue. Some of the shows that will stay with me from Omeara’s first two years – Jorja Smith, The Maccabees, Beck, Candi Staton, Skepta, Maggie Rogers, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Kygo, Idles and Ms Banks. It’s also been a great experience to establish the venue’s clubnight programme – we now work with some wonderful brands from Little Gay Brother, to South London Soul Train and Supa Dupa Fly.
I’ve also been given the opportunity to curate my own emerging talent showcase called ‘Switch’. Switch has a 4-band bill, which I book for the quarterly events. Alongside the bookings, I’ll oversee the branding and promotions. From this, I’ve been able to get involved in live panel discussions, exploring the future of live music and, specifically, women working in music.
I’ve gained invaluable experience over the last two years working for Omeara and I am super proud of what we’ve achieved at the venue. I’m very keen to build on this experience and I'm ready for a new challenge.
