I am a highly motivated, hardworking and resourceful individual, with the ability to work independently in fast moving environments and team settings. I am extremely enthusiastic and confident with proven experience in fashion, events, social media and marketing. I have a positive attitude to everything I do, coupled with the ability to work well under extreme amounts of pressure.
Since starting my role at Fran Cutler, I have gained many skills that will benefit me in my future professional career. As an events coordinator it is my duty to compile successful guest lists for clients such as Louis Vuitton, Fendi, NME and Glastonbury by sourcing contact and agent details for a wide range of VIPs. I also work closely with the clients in the run up to the events to ensure the smooth running of the day/night, and to liaise over any concerns that either side may have. On event days it is my duty to present myself in a professional manner to greet VIPs on the door and manage the guest list. A keen part of my role as an events coordinator is to also create and send invoices using Xero, along with chasing any late payments. The second part of my job role is to act as a personal assistant for Fran. This requires me to manage her online banking and make payments when required, create travel itineraries for her many journeys she takes throughout the year, schedule meetings and manage her daily diary, along with assisting with her personal life by collecting dry cleaning and getting shopping etc. Through this role I have learnt how to cope under extreme amounts of pressure and gained a lot of confidence. I have also learnt that no job is ever too small!
I commenced working as a Christmas temp in October 2014, which was then extended to a permanent, part time contract. The work consists of working on a shift pattern over various days of the weeks, it is a thoroughly enjoyable role in terms of working as a part of a team and dealing with the public on a regular basis. As a digital marketer for 07 Heaven Design, my role consisted of branding social media channels for the company and clients, along with updating the channels on a daily basis. I also ran an effective blog for both the company and clients, with topics ranging from retail to industrial work. These blog posts were delivered to a high standard and on time each week. Maintenance of SEO was also a key part of my role, so I regularly researched effective key words and measured their success using sites such as Google Analytics and HubSpot. I also used sites such as Hootsuite, Wordpress and Mail Chimp on a daily basis. Another key part of my role was to go out and use my photographic skills to take pictures for clients to upload to their websites and social media channels.
Was fortunate enough to spend time with and gain insight into the marketing industry, along with visual merchandising and graphic design. The 3 weeks were very insightful, with day to day tasks including the production of comp shops, consumer profiling and assisting at a range of photoshoots I was fortunate enough to spend time with the marketing team at Miss Selfridge and gain an insight into how it works from a head office perspective. I also gained an insight into visual merchandising, graphic design, styling and photography. The 3 weeks were very insightful and allowed me to partake in day to day tasks which included creating comp shops, consumer profiling and assistant at photoshoots.
I achieved a merit from my marketing and business studies at the Fashion Retail Academy. During my time there I was taught by industry leading experts, from a range multinational companies such as Arcadia and Tommy Hilfiger. My studies provided me with in-depth knowledge about marketing, financing, public relations and starting up a business.
