About me
I went to Barton Peveril college in September 2013 to study BTEC Media Production Level 2 and passed with a Distinction. I then went to Totton College for the following two years to complete my BTEC Media Production level 2 course.
Since leaving college, I have kept my passion for Photography and video editing; getting freelance Photography work where I can (weddings, portrait and fashion work) as well as working for an events company responsible for hosting nights of music from local musicians. I take a role in the company by providing photoshoots for the bands to create promotional content. Recently we have tried to venture into creating 'Live Session' videos, I would film a band or musician performing a song in a 'DIY Studio' environment, and others set up the instruments through a PA system so it can be recorded. They will then mix and master the final audio which gets sent to me for editing to produce the final video.
I've always been passionate about photography and cinematography and I am looking to work with other creative individuals interested in creating films and other works of art.
Projects
- Oculus [ψυχή]oculus |ˈäkyələs| noun ( pl. oculi |-ˌlī, -ˌlē| ) Architecture a round or eyelike opening or design, in particular: • an opening at the apex of a dome. • a circular window. Or in this case, the window to your soul Oculous was a project I started in college over 2 years ago which I started making for my final piece, it was meant to be displayed as an 'art exhibition' (an visual/auditory experience). Since leaving college, I decided to re-edit it into a music video which I feel presents the idea better than the exhibition did. I originally edited three videos which were displayed on three seperate screens accompanied to music, the point of it was for people to write down anything that came to mind or anything they felt after or during the experience. I work for a local events company responsible for setting up live music events intended to showcase upcoming local aspiring musicians. My main duties have been running social media, creating posters and graphics and photographing the events. We have recently looked into artist management and are in the process of creating a Youtube channel in order to film 'live sessions' of original songs by aspiring musicians.

I worked for an IT support company as an apprentice, whilst here I learned problem solving skills as well as speaking to the public in a professional conduct. I learned how to diagnose what was wrong with a PC and fix the issues that we were faced with. This includes setting up an email network and managing it for businesses, virus detection and removal, how to use data recovery software and detecting hardware problems and resolving them. I have also gained experience communicating with other companies, involving tasks like taking messages and keeping customers up to date with the progress we had made to fix the problem. Eventually I agreed with my boss that this was not the right direction for me to take at the time.
