About me
I have 11 years experience as a freelance designer/developer crafting digital products for my clients. I have recently realigned my career to focus on UX design. I'm now seeking a new opportunity where my multidisciplinary experience can be applied. I am passionate about building products that users enjoy and want to use. I regularly seek inspiration to stay focused on these aims. Recent reading: Inspired: How to Create Products Customers Love (Marty Cagan) The Design of Everyday Things (Donald Norman) The Lean startup (Eric Ries) Recent training: User Experience Design Bootcamp (General Assembly) Product Management Bootcamp (General Assembly) Product Design (Google/Udacity) UX Academy (Mobile UX London)
Projects
  • Boss Guns
Boss GunsDesigner, Developer Boss & Co. are one of London's oldest and famed gunmakers. In over 200 years, little has changed in the way they build their guns, with each taking around two years to complete. In building the new website for Boss, I wanted to convey the skill required by the craftsmen in producing a Boss gun. I achieved this through photography, capturing the processes as production moved through each workshop. The website itself is understated and clear.
  • Hughmans Solicitors
Hughmans SolicitorsDesigner, Developer Launching September 2017. Hughmans are a leading London law firm, dealing with high-profile criminal and civil proceedings. We were approached to assist in replacing their existing static flash based website, with a dynamic mobile friendly alternative. The result is a clean, no-nonsense design that reflects the direct and professional nature of the firms approach to clients’ cases. The responsive design translates effectively across all platforms, whilst adapting seamlessly to accommodate the varying quantities of content. The site incorporates a content management system allowing Hughmans to manage content updates in-house.
