Chris Speed is a London born audio-visual artist with a background in Film and Moving Image studies. His video artworks explore glitch as a tool for creative expression whether that be through circuit bent toys, degaussed videotape or 3D game engines. Taking inspiration from books, internet art and other sources, he sculpts these subconscious meditations into semiotic polygons for the club/festival/gallery space. For the past four years he has worked with a variety of clients from Mixmag to Adidas and has had installation work displayed at SuperByte festival, Norwich Arts Centre and Firstsite Colchester. Dance music is the other main passion in his life, being a resident club VJ for underground labels such as Liquid Ritual. Recently he has made the jump to music production himself to add an extra layer of sonic expression to the performance experience.
