About me
Hello! I have a wide variety of skills which include the production of music, creating interactive installations, social media admin and graphic design. I also have experience within advertising as well as PA and office work. I am currently looking for work in all creative fields and I have the ability and skill to adapt to almost any situation given to me.
Projects
  • Immersion + Interaction
Immersion + InteractionImmersion + Interaction is an interactive audiovisual installation which I created as my final project at university. It consists of four podia which the visitors can interact with. The movement of these podia is analysed and turned into musical sounds and also reactive visuals on the screen at the front of the room. There is no description of how things work and it is up to the users to work it out for themselves. This means things have to be fairly self explanatory and have very clear effects on the outcome of the system. The project was a resounding success. The build log can be found here www.immersionandinteraction.wordpress.com
  • toneglow
toneglowtoneglow is an interactive installation which brings people together through the means of making music with a physical system. I wanted to make a system which made it easy to create music no matter what ones musical or technological background or experience was, and one which had a close relationship between the movement, lighting produced and sound created. The installation uses Arduino and Max MSP with a bespoke system to create sound. The blog can be found at www.toneglowblog.wordpress.com
  • Shadow Project
Shadow ProjectShadow Project is a small musical instrument I made using Arduino and Max MSP. It is a board of light sensors which control music based on where you place shadows.
Work history
    Runner
     - London, United KingdomFreelance
It was an active role which required me to be at high alert for the whole day and ready to handle any task which I was given. I had the responsibility of running important packages across Central London as well as general maintenance of the building and helping with various random tasks as they came up. It was a hands on role which required complete flexibility and a good ability to adapt to new situations and challenges. I have also had some work experience in the audio department editing sound for trailers. I picked up their structure and the way in which they operate within the first few days and was left to cut the sound to a few trailers on my own. Some of the trailers I worked on were used as the official trailers in cinemas and online.
    PA
     - London, United KingdomFreelance
I worked as a personal assistant at Mark Van Oss and Associates which is a small but high profile project management company who principally specialise in the building and refurbishment of privately owned properties in prime parts of London, the English countryside and sometimes abroad. I was in charge of regularly writing meeting minutes, site reports and other professional documents alongside organising the office diary and preparing meetings. I was the first point of call for clients and contractors and assisted them with any queries and also communicated with them via email on behalf of the director. I carried out various general office administration tasks. The role was fast paced, and required the juggling of many precarious and unique tasks on which the success of projects heavily relied upon. It also required a calm and concise manner when answering calls. After I finished university in the early summer I started working more frequently at the company.

Education
1st Class Honours : BMus Music Computing
     - London, United Kingdom
I Graduated with a Bachelor of Music, but my degree had a focus slightly more weighted towards computing rather than music. As well as creating compositions for film and producing audiovisual works throughout my degree, my final project Immersion and Interaction used Arduino, Max/MSP and openFrameworks alongside computing techniques and building of reasonably large scale physical interfaces to create an interactive audiovisual installation. Another project called toneglow used Arduino, Max/MSP and the creation of a bespoke system to create a similar product, which has had interest shown from educational and special needs applications.
