About me

I have been working regularly as both a writer and editor for over six years, for global, blue chip brands that include Harley-Davidson, Jeep, The Gadget Show and AGA. I am also a scriptwriter for BBC Radio Norfolk’s ‘New Comedy Show.' Whether it be feature writing, website copy or creative, my ability to understand new and complex subject matters has enabled me to cover a diverse range of topics. I have written a feature on Smartwatches for The Gadget Show's bookazine, product copy for a Center Parc's feature on how to grow your own veg and a feature piece on a unique female Harley-Davidson rider. My editorial roles, whether as an assistant editor or sub-editor, have made me thorough with a precise attention to detail. As a result of working for a diverse range of clients – which has included writing about motorcycles, holiday parks and finance – I possess the ability to grasp an understanding of a new subject very quickly. While working on Jeep's '7' magazine, under exceptional circumstances I was trusted with carrying a multi-lingual magazine to print, which then resulted in me being handed the role of managing Harley-Davidson’s Canadian magazine in both English and French. Managing writing, editing and production tasks for multi-lingual magazines has made me pragmatic and resourceful. My interest in illustration and fine art has given me an innate understanding of visual design, and in my various editorial roles I have worked closely with digital designers; often working in layouts myself on Adobe InDesign.
