Working as part of a small team to deliver the restoration and fit out of a neoclassical office building in Central London. The project comprised a complex program, with the main restoration contract running parallel to a series of separation works contracts, which required the reinstatement of three previously connected buildings to their original condition as per the previous leasehold. I played an integral role in the production of several drawing packages, including RIBA stages 2 and 3, strip out / demolition, pre-planning report and subsequent planning application.
The project evolved into a close working relationship with the client, in appraising viable options to enhance the accessibility and functioning of the building, with the client being keen to explore ways of maximizing rentable office NIA. Fortnightly client presentations meant an extremely high turnaround of design options exploring methods of office floor-plate extension, potential terraces and green-space, look and feel material palettes, general arrangement drawings for the office floor-plates and demise plans for split tenancy options, as well as reception, cores, access and fire strategies. All of this compounded my previous CAD drawing skills whilst developing my ability to design with an acute awareness of UK building regulations and the parameters of design consultant information, principally fire and structure at these stages. The rapidity of the program warranted efficient task completion, using a wide rage of skills and knowledge, whilst being accountable for my own time schedule and drawing package information.

My main involvement was working with a Senior Architect to deliver RIBA Stages 2-5 of a Sports Pavilion for a Girls School in Croydon. During this project I worked from design to construction; an involvement that has developed a cohesive and broad range of skills. From 2D drafting and 3D CAD / BIM modelling, to a more pro-active role in specifying FF&E and liaising with different manufacturers, the process has strengthened my organisation and communication skills, whilst honing my conviction regarding the overall design process. I advanced from concept drawing to thorough technical detailing, affording me a heightened knowledge of various manufacturing processes, through a completion of extensive drawing packages, design schedules and presentation images for our client. More recently I have worked on a high-end residential project, taking the lead on Interiors and further developing these skills by sourcing all FF&E and creating visual presentations and 2D drawings for our client.
