I am a womenswear designer dedicated to make a positive contribution in the shift how we define fashion - today and tomorrow. This means that I pay great attention to what and where I source my fabrics, maintain all production within the UK and aim to demonstrate that eco-friendly fashion can be sexy, in the hope to inspire others around me. Latex has been a fabric that I’ve specialised working with over the past few years as it withholds a great deal of possibilities in its design scope and often is being overlooked as a key fabric that does not impact the environment negatively. My enthusiasm for design, latex and seeing an opportunity in the landscape of sustainable brands that are accessible yet fashionable, lead me to the launch of my own label HANGER INC in 2013, which was recently awarded by ASOS with the ‘Fashion Discovery Award’. I believe in hiring for attitude and a culture of collaboration, where each employee is being listened to and valued for their input. I’d also hope to set an example for other designers to make the move towards a more mindful business model – an environment the earth can sustain. I’m always up for a new challenge or chat – please email email@example.com if you’d like to get in touch!Locked Pro Plan feature
Heading up the production department at the London based, world-wide recognised brand Lady Lucy Latex since mid 2013.
In the realm of latex pieces and Japanese girlhood, London-based fashion label HANGER was born. With the vision to create a forward-thinking brand delivering both quality and accessibility, HANGER is a nod to the slow fashion movement that is seasonless and made in London. Graphic silhouettes, sci-fi aesthetics and wearable latex designs are what distinguish the garments visually and are reinterpreted in each collection of the brand.
Successfully managed a workshop to engage with current UAL Foundation students at Leyton Sixth Form College, to pass on my industry knowledge and provide real-world insight that is relevant and useful – from planning to execution.
Managing junior assistants and interns in order to develop a highly skilled team that helps deliver designs that are unique and in-line with the brand aesthetic.
Launched in 2016, ASOS Fashion Discovery Award seeks to find and champion fashion's most exciting emerging brands. The successful winners are given grants, alongside business support, plus an edit of their collections sold on ASOS.com.
