Hired to lead the management and marketing of jobs.ac.uk's two events, Women in STEM Careers and Careers in China. The marketing responsibilities include: • Coordinating all marketing and communications strategies for the events, including: digital marketing, creating websites, social media channels, and campus adverts. • Working collaboratively with the in-house design team to create different marketing materials, including email signatures, website banners, and booklets. • Writing and coordinating all content used for the two events. • Creating and sending email campaigns for delegates and prospective attendees, and promoting the event via a press release to media outlets. • Engaging with relevant organisations and professional bodies to encourage promotion through their websites, social media and newsletters. As a result, 55 separate organisations, including universities, promoted Women in STEM Careers to their followers or members. 800 registrations for Women in STEM Careers were successfully gathered within the first month. View some of the materials I created here: clairewells.journoportfolio.com/ The events management responsibilities include: • Arranging all logistics, from choosing the menu to ensuring all required forms are filled and collected. • Individually coordinating the running of the days, including the schedule, as well as sourcing and recruiting speakers. This includes a popular scientist with over 40k followers on Twitter, who agreed to speak at the event. • Responsible for ensuring everything is in place to allow the event to run smoothly before the day itself. • Being the only point of contact for all delegates and prospective attendees, which means I responded on the phone and via email in an appropriate manner to reflect the university's respected reputation. In addition to these events, I researched and created extensive articles for the university’s further education software brand – WEG21 – after being briefed with the task to build its branding and reflect the expert knowledge of the team.

Many of my tasks centred on writing, including press releases, copywriting, and creating attractive web and social content for several clients. I was required to build many successful professional relationships with clients to provide a high-standard of customer service. To do this, I successfully liaised with all persons through email and phone, maintaining loyal relationships for the agency. Additionally, I created as much coverage for clients as possible. This meant persuading journalists to write about my clients on the phone and via email. There was also an aspect of events management for different occasions e.g. the launch of a client's product. This would involve ordering any resources, inviting media and influencers to attend, and being the first point of contact for any enquiries. Accounts include: Coca Cola, Beyond Meat, Keolis, Tate & Lyle.
