I am an award-winning editor and writer with considerable experience in consumer magazine publishing. In the past I was homes and gardens editor of The Simple Things magazine, edited Coast magazine for six years, was interim editor of the National Trust Magazine, deputy editor of The Sunday Times insideout magazine, and editor of Grand Designs Magazine.
I also write copy for websites, and branded content, specialising in homes, interiors, travel and gardens.
Currently I am freelance. Mostly I write books but I also write about British travel, interiors and crafts for a variety of publications including The Guardian, Homes & Antiques, Condé Nast Traveller, Elle Decoration and Enterprise (digital) Magazine, plus a blog for interiordesigners.net.
In 2019 my book 'Beyond the Footpath: mindful adventures for modern pilgrims' (Piatkus) was published. This year 'Sacred Place: where to find wonder in the world' will be published by Aster. I have also written several guidebooks for the National Trust.
