Projects
- Sugar Rush Sugar Rush is an exploration into the world of confectionary and fashion, through the techniques of CAD embroidery, heat press and UV print. The idea comes from an investigation into confectionary, wrappers and graphics, evoking fond childhood memories. My starting point was visiting various sweet shops to explore the relationship between colour and shape. By observing the combinations of pick ‘n’ mix I consider how they push the boundaries of design that is often seen in fashion. Sugar Rush combines plastics and other synthetic fabrics to create a range of women's outerwear. The colour palette and design took inspiration from sweet packaging and the artwork of Mireia Ruiz and fashion designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. The result is an innovative, exciting and energetic collection of embroidery focused designs. To be celebrated by everyone. So enjoy, whether you are wearing or just observing.
