I am an aspiring creative individual with a strong passion for the new digital age. I am looking for the opportunity to progress my career in design or communications. I am a determined, reliable, passionate individual driven by success and personal fulfillment. My ideal job would be working within the design industry alongside or as a designer in south east England. Outside of my day job I am a casual freelance designer doing small projects to build a portfolio. Through my love of art and computing I have also learnt to utilise a computer to its full advantage and am confident with the Microsoft software packages as well as Adobe Packages on both Windows and MAC computers. I love to learn and take pride in my academic achievements as well as personal ones such as being a self taught bass guitar player and achieving my driver’s license in July 2013. In the future I would like to think I can set roots in a well establish company and progress that career and achieve a well established position within my role. Specialities: Design, Media, Administration, Events, Customer Relations
I am part of AA Media in the Hotel Services team working on the prestigious Guide Series, this involves advert creation, image manipulation i.e. cropping/colour correcting, contacting customers and customer support such as answering e-mails and calls regarding customer concerns and complaints. I also am able to demonstrate my leadership skills as the only full time member of staff co-ordinating a team of 2. AA Communications Specialist Nov ‘13 - Present Designing/creating the weekly e-flyer for head office and when required sending HR/business/building wide communication emails and previous involvement in the creation of the monthly staff magazine ‘Drive’. AA Social Committee Member March ‘15 - Present I became a member of the AA committee after creating resources for the in house charity display. This developed into multiple roles within the committee which include Trader Manager involving meeting and arranging third party visits, Liaison Officer with our external charity of the year and Financial/Budget Holder.
Initially the role was maternity cover for an administrator, but the opportunity opened up further learning and experience in the digital design and publishing work place. I have worked on many AA titles such as Landscape Photography Of The Year (Vol.8) which I photo edited the sleeve for, 50 Walks series and City and Twin Packs. Alongside this I have done reconstruction work with AA archive photographs, sleeve/internal design ideas for working titles and image research. During these projects I have expanded my knowledge of Photoshop and gained a working knowledge of InDesign and Illustrator as well as the publishing process internally and externally.
