I'm all about form and function & creating content with purpose and that followers will love. Work Life: living & breathing the brands, writing tweets, photographing products, briefing designers, trying out new social media formats, improving the look & feel of feeds, analysing the performance of posts, developing campaign ideas, covering events with live updates, attending shoots (most recently a shoot with athletes for New Balance & a TV shoot for Batiste) Social Life: looking, wondering, wandering, drawing, photographing, laughing, booking my next adventure (which I'm excited to say is a kayaking trip through Norway!) My interests span graphics, advertising and social media. I relish all challenges from idea-creation, image-making and expanding brand awareness. I pride myself on my flexible, friendly nature and strong work ethic.
My job role is 'Content Creator' which entails writing the social media plans for the coming months - as well as creating, planning and art directing the content. I've worked on a variety of brands from New Balance, Hilton Hotels, Batiste & Hula Hoops. • Create social media content, copywriting and strategy across social media platforms ensuring it’s on brand creatively and withholds tone of voice • Produce monthly content calendars • Create content - mainly photographs such as lifestyle and product shots • Brief in Digital Team to create retouched images, GIFs and animations • Work with Video Team to shoot and edit content • Upload daily content on social media channels • Address and respond to daily customer inquiries on all social media platforms • Research and pitch content ideas while maintaining brand tone of voice • Collate up to date information on current social media trends and competitor activity • Plan and create YouTube videos, photoshoots and blog content • Draft T&C’s for interactive competitions and manage prize fulfillment • Manage events and event promotion (e.g. live coverage of London Fashion Week/New Balance Flagship Store Launch) • Drive influencer outreach globally • Work with brands' Head of PR and E-Commerce to align social content plans
I wore two hats at Striders Edge: one being Creative Assistant (to the Creative Director) and the other Social Media Manager. I created graphics for print and digital platforms from website imagery, email marketing, look books and point of sale material. I also created content for and managed Striders Edge social media feed on a daily basis. DESIGN // Key Achievements: ► Designed an executed POS for all Striders Edge stockists including destination retailers such as Harrods ► Assisted the Creative Director with Photo Shoots. Responsible for organising shots of over 100 items of clothing; styling outfits on set; preparing the images to be used on House of Fraser ► Created presentation proposal of a website re-design to reflect our brand values and increase online sales ► Developed signature style for Striders Edge email marketing and introduced the use of GIFs ► I am currently working on an official Striders Edge project to design a capsule collection alongside a range of fitness accessories SOCIAL MEDIA // Key Achievements: ► Curated posts in sets to creative a cohesive aesthetic in order to deliver Striders Edge as a premium brand ► Photographed fresh new content such as flat-lays, outfits, fabric details and collages ► Gained a celebrity following for the brand ► Increased Instagram following from 209 to 1,233 (to date: 18/5/15) ► Established on-brand hashtags that were unique to Striders Edge such as #fitnessfashionfunction and #stridersedgegirls which was used for posts regarding our team, as well as for reposts from fans
Reporting to the Producer, I worked with a team of 8 in a fast-paced environment to deliver web banners within tight deadlines. I learnt the best practice for designing for web using Adobe Photoshop and developed a keen eye for detail to ensure my work was pixel-perfect. Besides honing my web-design skills, I learnt to work within a team towards a common goal and tackle challenges together. ► Follow briefs as provided by the Producer and execute following eBay brand guidelines ► Create and recreate concepts across multiple platforms from iPad, iPhone, Android and Desktop ► Use Smart Objects to increase efficiency of workflow ► Produce multiple concepts to deliver to client for review ► Assign relevant links to banners ► Assign relevant alt tags to banners ► Deliver work to client for use across all eBay platforms
Straight after graduating, I dived into a 9 week internship at One Big Company where I was working on print, web, packaging and VM projects for clients such as Triumph, Schuh, Hamptons International and Floris. Responsibilities: ► Work independently on projects from scamp to final artworks ► Design adverts and brochures ► Design GIF web banners ► Design imagery directly for in-house web team ► Follow brand guidelines ► Produce scamps for Head Designer ► Partake in team idea-generation sessions ► Design concepts to present to clients
Whilst studying at Central Saint Martins, I created music videos, books, magazines, advert campaign proposals, photographs, short films and idents. My favourite work was born out of play, when defacing stamps, researching naughty words, filming on a Bolex, shooting in slow motion, persuading the public to do the hula, animating grandad’s cigarette cards; projecting garden scenes into hospitals; printing Hemingway's longest sentence (424-words) onto a 3-metre sheet; photographing a nude; turfing a book.
