Cody Cooper is an award winning creative director and photographer based in Philadelphia, PA. His photography reveals a compelling point of view of how he sees the world. His journey behind the camera began in photojournalism helping him recognize his own style of composing an image. His inspirations stem from high fashion photography and contemporary art.
Cody's first published image is a portrait of the late recording artist DMX, performing in 2017 at the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival in New York City. The portrait shows him looking deeply into the audience after ending his performance with a prayer. Consequently, this moment led to DMX and his team publishing Cody's image - this being the start of his career in photography.
Cody designs luxury clothing underneath the title, FREETOWN, representing his liberation as an artist. His line of luxury clothing is a space for him to revolutionize his creative ideologies and narrate through design. Designing clothing and capturing images work simultaneously together for Cody as an avenue to create his desired imagery as a fashion photographer.
