- Remote SupportRemote Support is a global connectivity initiative to combat loneliness and isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic through music and video. The premise is simple: send me a short video of what your surroundings look like as you live remotely and I'll soundtrack and share it in the hopes that our shared experiences can bring us together while we're apart.

Richer Unsigned is a non-profit platform for musicians founded by Richer Sounds as a way to give back to music creators. I was brought on due to my years of experience in the industry as a musician. Though I worked directly with the platform’s Director to produce content and strategize ongoing growth, I largely worked independently, self-starting many of the initiatives that continue today.
I worked directly with performers and their management to plan and deliver our monthly Unsigned Sessions, attended by industry contacts and special guests, which were recorded, mixed and given to the artists to use, free of charge.
I reviewed music that was submitted to the platform and added it to our website and Spotify playlists, regularly collaborating with brands to create monthly guest playlists. From these submissions, I selected an ‘Artist Of The Week’ and created online content which I shared across our social media channels. Brand recognition increased roughly 25% monthly in the time since I took over management of the project.

Richer Sounds is one of the largest and oldest electronics retailers in the UK, operating for over 40 years, with stores across the country. My role in the company’s Marketing department challenged me daily, keeping my time management skills razor sharp.
I was the chief editor of the TechBlog, wherein I would commission topics from the crew of colleague writers I managed, including hi-fi product editorials and reviews of music and film, writing articles myself when required. The process was largely collaborative, and I was accepting and encouraging of writers to cover more obscure music and films. I proofread and edited all submitted content in WordPress and edited pictorial content using Adobe Creative suite, scheduling publication across our social media channels using proper SEO practices to maximise engagement.
Working with our in-house video team, I helped create product knowledge videos for the company’s YouTube channel. I created a year-long filming schedule and tracking documents, as well as requesting scripts and call sheets from our roster of colleague writers. I was responsible for scheduling filming dates within our stores, hiring and purchasing additional equipment where required and submitting payroll documentation when filming was completed. I acted as the main proofer for the video content during the editing process and once signed off, I was in charge of scheduling the content across our social media channels and blog.
Creating ads for both print and digital applications required a huge amount of images, with many needing to be created in-house. Working on behalf of our design team, I contacted product manufacturers to procure the required images or in some cases arrange for products to be delivered so they could be photographed by our team.
A constant part of my role involved the creation of custom POS materials on an ad hoc basis commissioned by our shops. This required me to write succinct, engaging advertising copy, requiring a detailed sense of tone. I would then contact our network of manufacturers to negotiate the best rate possible and schedule installations.
