• Joined the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) at a time of great structural change, so even though my title was an intern, my daily roles and expectations far exceeded that. During this time it was essential to be well-organised and unflappable. • Primarily assigned to the membership team, a role which included managing the influx of new members joining the CCT, as well as producing material to encourage increased membership. This required creative writing and copywriting skills, a proactive attitude and the confidence to contribute new ideas. • Achieved great success and respect from my superiors, proving myself to be entrusted with the solo production of the monthly members newsletter, a publication sent out to over one thousand individuals. This helped hone my technological experience with programs including Excel, MailChimp and ThankQ. • Expertise in Criminology meant being relied upon for blog and article writing, specifically on heritage crime and the impact it has on communities, with my work used in a variety of channels across the organisation. An important aspect of this work was the ability to write content and blogs in a range of styles. • Background in Criminology also led to heavy involvement with the fundraising team, attending conferences and liasing with various Police and Crime Commissioners and other organisations like Historic England to help the CCT raise funds for their annual donation appeal on Heritage Crime. My work heavily contributed to the success of the appeal, with donations surpassing the £50,000 target in record time.
