Part of the Central Events Team, with responsibility for delivering a full calendar of events & awards. ? Responsible for the IPA Effectiveness Awards, a global scheme rewarding campaigns that demonstrate the payback of Marcom’s investment. • Main contact & responsible for all entrant collateral: ensured the accuracy of details, in every publication produced before the ceremony & in the book published, in conjunction with Campaign, after the awards. • Events Co-ordinator on the night of the awards, a sit-down meal for 300, liaising closely with the award production company who created the show, stage & graphics. • Post event was part of the team who published the Advertising Works Book. • Support with briefing our advertising company to create the 2016 campaign & participate in board meetings, the board is made up of industry professionals who shape the awards scheme & find the direction it needs to go. • Involved in the creation of a spoof video, humorously using dogs to test the impact of popular Christmas advertisements, that raised awareness of the awards & received national media attention. ? Provide key input into other awards, including the IPA Best of Health Awards & IPA Media Owner Awards, involving in anything from sourcing venues, providers, catering, presenters & any other requirements. ? Point of contact & responsible for time management for a series of events including: • Large round table events covering Industry issues. • A closed-door event for the high echelons of the IPA Member agencies. • Developed a series of master classes reflecting the learnings from the awards. ? Created the Effectiveness Newsletter, to promote the master class events & to share new learning from around the globe. ? Built & maintained a new intranet system that significantly improved internal communication & project managed the upgrade of the IPA meeting & conference rooms with the latest in wireless & video technology, which increased room rental income three fold.
Successfully project managed the complete and complex renovation of my parents’ house whilst they both lived abroad. • Planned and implemented this six month building development project, managing diaries, project meetings, planning applications, contractors, suppliers • First point of contact for all suppliers and builders and involved in all sourcing and negotiation. • Negotiated, managed and arranged the development to ensure efficient planning, safe and timely implementation and successful delivery • Responsible for general administration, budgeting, tracking and overseeing all documentation for the project
