Hi, I’m Conor Rees, a writer, content creator and magazine maker from Birmingham, UK.
I am extremely passionate about writing, making magazines and content creation for content creation for digital, print, audio and social media. It’s also hard for me to hide my strong passion for photography too.
Since graduating with a degree in Journalism in 2015 I have had the pleasure of working with some of the UK’s and Europe’s most exciting brands (such as G.F Smith, Foil Co, Hortons and Bloc Hotels to name a few) through freelance projects, working in-house and through my own print magazine. I also managed to pick up some huge awards along the way including Journalist of the Year at the MMS Awards, awarded by the Birmingham Press Club in 2016.
I started 99 Percent Lifestyle, a print magazine about the worlds best creators and entrepreneurs (which you can check out here), back in 2015, which has connected me with creatives, entrepreneurs and businesses around the world. The magazine is now sold in over 70 stores to over 25 different countries, from right here in Birmingham to the other side of the world in New Zealand.
I also run a weekly newsletter project within the magazine brand called Creative Recommendations too. There are over 100 issues of the newsletter and you can take a look at all of them here :)
The various freelance and in-house projects I have worked over the past few years have involved a lot more than being a writer. Other than copywriting and making magazine, some of my other projects have involved working on editorial projects (design and content), photography projects (abroad and in the UK), working on brands newsletters, podcasts and working on social media content creation and management for brands.
