Event ManagerWell Pleased Events
- Leeds, United KingdomFull Time
During University it was required to secure a work placement within the events industry, for which WellPleased was the company of choice and worked a month-long placement period as an Event Manager following which a full time position was offered for the subsequent six months until University started again. The job role was to assist with an abundance of different kinds of events as well as having personal events to organise and run independently. The main exclusive event was for Bupa Healthcare, for which there was a £100k budget to use and manage, the Alice in Wonderland themed event was a huge success and took place at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
A wealth of practical experience was gained from the opportunity to dive head first into all of the company's events from picking decor, creating and managing budgets, finding venues and liaising with clients and suppliers. It was thoroughly enjoyable to deliver something unique to the table and channel creativity into separate events to create special events for other people to enjoy.
