About me
I’m just a small town girl in a big city, who’s ready to take the next step in the adventures of work. Marketing is a great career, as it’s never truly the same, it’s evolving, it’s creative, and it’s unique. It pretty much sums me up. I am still new to the game, but I’m eager to learn more and more each and every day

    Social Media SpecialistAJP Group
     - Johannesburg, South AfricaFull Time
Managing 15 Retail Pages for Facebook, as well as 3 Instagram and Twitter Pages. These pages were for the AJP Groups Malls and Retail Stores, therefore we had to showcase their retail specials and the respective tenants for each mall. On a monthly basis I had to do content plans, Souring, Writing, and Loading of content for tenants for the month. Each month a different Tenant, and making it relevant to any bank holidays that were in the month or special occasions. Campaigning and Advertising. This involved coming up with campaign ideas for all the big events such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas etc. I had to Research Idea's, Strategize to ensure our main goal is reached, plan the creative and write the brief for the designers, get the final products signed off, printed, online and in-store. Then I had to monitor the duration of the campaign and adjust advertising budget if needed. Analytics and Report back. Giving feedback on the campaigns and pages. PR. If there were any issues or events that needed a PR Statement to go out, I'd write it and send it for approval, If it was a too serious, then the CA / CEO would then write a statement that we would need to post by me. Responding to Customers on Social Platforms and escalating urgent matters or requests. Posting all tenant specials when sent through. Posting retail content on a daily and weekly basis.

I had to post what clients were sending through to make the pages more relevant and up to date with all current events. Responding to customers, handling any that were upset and sending it on to the client to ensure it was handled. Design. I was allowed to design for the company and special occasion posts for clients to grow my skills. This included rough website designs and social media posts

BA Branding and Marketing ManagementVega School of Brand Leadership
     - Randburg, South Africa
Vega is an Internationally accredited college underwritten by the IIE and BAC. This qualification combines strategy and creativity in business with financial management, economics, critical thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship. The programme presents a balanced combination between humanities and the world of commerce to graduate students with an interest in new business and communication ventures. What makes this degree extra special, is that it allowed for students to work on real Brand Activations, to give a taste of what to expect from the real world. This started in 2nd Year, as we had more knowledge from our studies to contribute to the building of a Brand - hence its name "Brand Challenge" Brand Challenge is where is realised my passion for Creative Development, Strategy, Campaigning, Financing and the building of a Brand. This passion was seen through my results, as I averaged 73% over 3 years.
