Creative Calderdale is the creative industry network for Calderdale. We support everything that’s new, innovative and inspiring about the creative and digital industry here in Calderdale. We do this through our website and our events. The website is an online hub where you can read stories and interviews with local creatives, search our online database of creative services, post your jobs, projects and opportunities, find the perfect creative space and ask advice on things like best practice, starting a new business or promoting your existing one. We see it as a virtual marketplace where people can meet, collaborate and do business. Our events programme runs quarterly and brings some of the most respected names from the creative industry right here to the heart of Calderdale. Ever wondered what inspired the ‘eureka moments’ behind campaigns for Wonderbra and French Connection or how Green and Black’s became a household name or what it was like starting Virgin Records with Richard Branson? Well all our speakers could answer those questions because they’ve been there and done that. People like award winning film producer, Nik Powell, Creative Review editor Patrick Burgoyne, and marketing legend Trevor Beattie. We bring them here to Calderdale to inspire and educate our audience. Creative Calderdale launched in July 2010, and since then we’ve seen our membership grow and grow. We’ve seen people work together to increase their sales, get new clients, start new businesses and win new commissions – but of course we want more. If what we do sounds interesting why not take a few minutes to visit the website, join the mailing list or even sign up for membership. Creative Calderdale is funded by Calderdale MBC and managed by the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre.
