Dale Shaw is a television and radio writer, journalist, screenwriter, performer and musician. His first book, LETTERS OF NOT, was published by The Friday Project in 2014. His sketch show, What The Future was recently broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
He has written for The Now Show, The News Quiz, Russell Howard’s Good News, The Impressions Show, That Mitchell and Webb Sound, One, School of Comedy, as well as for The Guardian, Index, Huffington Post, BBC Online, Washington City Paper and many more.
His highly bitter take on the Inspiration Journal phenomena, F**K THIS JOURNAL, was published by Headline. His latest book LAST MINUTE ROOMS IN BETHLEHEM was recently published by Boxtree.
In the commercial field, he's devised and written advertising scripts for brands such as Hellmann's, Muller Rice, Stella Artois, Topman, Sony, Fosters, Skittles for agencies that include Mother, VCCP and Mesh. He was editorial lead and Social Media Manager, providing award-winning copy and posts for experience portal Wish.co.uk. He was editorial social media lead for BBC Radio 3 and 4, writing and providing Tweets and Facebook posts as well as establishing their editorial tone, quizzes, video scripts and features. He was also Editorial Manager at BBC 2 and Virgin Television, defining their brand tone of voice and creating features and copy for their websites. He has also provided wide-ranging editorial support for Channel 4 and ITV.
