About me

After landing in London over 3 years ago from Cape Town, South Africa, I have fully immersed myself in the creative and digital industry, working as both a freelancer and permanently. My interest in motion design and animation has pushed me to seek out work that not only excites me, but motivates me to explore new styles, skills and techniques to solve problems and ultimately build more exciting graphics for industries ranging from education to business to travel. I am constantly driving my personal education by enrolling in online courses, joining groups and communities and practicing as much as I can, as it’s the only proven way to get better and grow your skills. Keen to collaborate with others, but am also very happy to work alone or in a team environment!

I have worked as a freelance motion designer and animator since I arrived in London at the end of 2017. After committing to a permanent role for a year, I find myself back in the freelance world exploring further opportunities to grow my skills and connect with likeminded people in the industry. Being a freelancer excites me. I enjoy the challenge of managing my time, projects, growth and upskilling and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me.

I was one of two motion designers at Bluedog for over a year, after starting as a freelancer and then committing to a permanent role. The majority of work we produced and created was for the pharma industry for events, conferences, online education and training and explainer/information videos. My key responsibilities included translating briefs into creative ideas and storyboards, vector illustration, motion design and compositing, and animation. We worked mainly in Adobe Illustrator, After Effects and Cinema 4D. Bluedog was acquired by The Lucid Group in 2019 to become their dole provider of digital and creative solutions.
