About me
Hello!
TL;DR version: I'm a London-based radio journalist and audio producer, currently heading up audio for scale-up financial literacy company Finimize. I manage a team of three producers and a freelance pool to create in-app audio in collaboration with our expert financial analysts. Over more than a decade working in broadcasting, I have worked in every role of live radio and podcast production alongside the best presenters and producers in the business, including at CBC/Radio-Canada and Monocle.
Full Bio: Currently at Finimize, I work with our team of analysts, editors and producers to craft all of our audio products about smarter investing. I also lead audio data analytics and experiments.
Previously, I spent four years as a radio presenter and producer at Monocle 24, hosting the flagship business show 'The Entrepreneurs', in addition to producing and hosting across several live daily news programmes. On the business podcast I interviewed hundreds of founders and executives from companies including BlackRock, Patagonia, Headspace, Strava, Slack, Peloton, Allbirds, Ennismore, Rapha and many more.
I also wrote a business column for The Monocle Minute newsletter, and was a writer for the Toronto, Hamburg and Mexico City books for The Monocle Travel Guide Series. I also contributed to The Monocle Book of Entrepreneurs and The Entrepreneurs print magazine. On Monocle 24, I covered current affairs, business, culture, design, entertainment, fashion, food and drink and hospitality.
Before joining Monocle in London, I spent seven years with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Toronto as a host, reporter and producer covering local, national and international news across radio, TV and digital. Most of my work was on CBC’s flagship, award-winning national newscasts including World Report and The World at Six, alongside local shows Metro Morning and Here and Now.
I am as comfortable hosting a live show as I am editing a podcast or producing a live show in the studio. In radio production I have worked across every role from mastering to hosting alongside the best producers and correspondents in broadcasting over my 12 years in the business.
I have travelled to more than 40 countries and lived in Paris, Glasgow, Toronto, Ottawa and Calgary. I have reported for a national newspaper in Scotland, contributed to the BBC World Service and covered numerous breaking news stories for CBC while living in France, everything from politics and terrorist attacks to jewellery heists.
I'm also a hobby photographer, coffee enthusiast and avid cyclist and runner.
