About me

Having recently graduated, I’m currently looking for my first opportunity to enter the marketing industry as a paid professional. Studying marketing at degree level coupled with undertaking a Marketing Volunteer role with a University organisation has made me hugely passionate about marketing, and I’m looking forward to carrying on this passion into a workplace environment. I thrive for responsibility and accountability in a role, and I’m extremely motivated to not only match, but exceed expectations. I’m highly adaptable to different working environments and cultures, and would welcome any opportunity to meet and engage with new people.

Wanting to gain more experience in a marketing position, I took a voluntary position working with the marketing team of ‘Culturae Mundi’, a group part of Coventry University which is responsible for putting on cultural events across the year. During my time working with the company I have gained experience in: • Creating a marketing plan for the organisation. • Helping produce and distribute promotional material. • Communicating both internally and externally. • Managing other marketing volunteers at promotional events. • Working with and understanding the needs of consumers from different cultures.

I started working for the company No1 Traveller in January 2012 as work experience however I continued to work part time for the company. No1 Traveller is a high quality airport lounge service located in various airports in the UK. During my time at the company I learnt a wide variety of skills including: • Interacting and engaging with the general public, offering a high level of customer service. • Taking responsibility for the running of the entire lounge, covering areas from the bar to reception. • The importance of providing a high quality and consistent service week in, week out. • Being responsible for cashing up and handling cash, which could amount to thousands of pounds at a time. • Working within a team and developing relationships with my co-workers to increase productivity.
