The Commercial Operations Department is the link between airtime sales, the advertising agencies and transmission. • Ensuring that all industry regulations and guidelines as set out by Ofcom, ASA, Clearcast etc. regarding the transmission of commercial airtime are adhered to for all the channels that we sell / book commercial content on. • Guarantee that all commercial airtime is completely sold when finalising schedule. • Ensuring that the correct commercial minutage is adhered to within each hour and across the day on all channels. • Chasing commercial copy and associated legal documentation for broadcast of advertisements. • Liaising with and effectively supporting the sales floor. • Sequencing each schedule to accommodate position in break bookings, specific programme booking requests, well as the look and feel of each schedule. • Daily producing final Commercial Spot Schedules to stringent deadlines. • Accommodating late money from the Sales Floor. • Previewing of new commercial inventory for scheduling creative awareness and suitability.
