Working as an editorial assistant, my responsibilities included researching, interviewing, writing and copy editing to create content for It's Nice That's website, print magazine and clients. The articles I produced spanned a range of fields including art, design, photography and advertising, among others. I also helped launch a new series of Q&As, featuring some of the biggest names from the creative world.
As editor and co-founder of SWIM, an annual art and photography magazine, I have experience in almost every aspect of print publishing: from editorial strategy and design to printing and distribution. SWIM is distributed by Antenne Books and sold in galleries and bookshops throughout Europe, USA and Asia. Working as a copy editor, my responsibilities included managing all of the copy going into the Annual, which showcases the recipients of the charity’s treasured Pencil awards and their winning projects. During this process I was required to work meticulously, ensuring that the text was informative, accessible and consistently up to the highest standard.
Working as a bookseller, my responsibilities included stock management, assisting with the buying of new titles and publications, visual merchandising, driving sales, and keeping up to date with new releases in a variety of fields such as art, architecture, photography, graphic design and fashion.
