About me
I am a confident, academic and conscientious person, with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art. During my Fine Art course I took part in a range of fine art disciplines such as sculpture, painting, print-making and film. I have always had a strong interest in the creative arts and arts education. As a Fine Arts graduate I am passionate about the power of art in the curriculum to change and improve lives and academic and social development. I am a highly motivated Front of House Assistant, currently at an International Publishing and Events firm within the financial services sector. An excellent communicator with experience in office management and organising internal events for staff of over 140. I have helped to arrange Weekly Socials and Board Meetings and assisted in the planning of the quarterly lunch. I am competent, eager to learn and wiling to be trained to promote my own learning. With the opportunity I will prove to be a profitable, hardworking asset to the team.

If someone is unavailable on the phone I always take a message if needed • Gathering and printing information for new starters. • Filing • Collecting, distributing and sending post and couriers out to clients or to staff. • Setting up company mobile phones • My role should focus on ensuring the office is well stocked – including stationary, drinks, everyday items. Also; ensuring that anyone who calls up or comes in to the office is assisted.

    • Meet and greet staff and customers in a welcoming and friendly manner ensuring that they sign in the visitors/ staff log. • On arrival, I find out the reason for the guest’s visit and direct them to the correct room, department, or contact the person they’re visiting. • I am responsible for transferring calls to the relevant department so I do this in an assertive and polite manner. The switchboard can become busy, so this also requires managing calls and message taking. • Filling out the despatch book for recorded/ special deliveries along with ensuring that they are sent out correctly and on time. • Arranging couriers on request from staff. • Always be conscious of security cameras/ parking/ facilities. As the reception I would log any issues or complaints.

During my (BA Hons) Fine Art course I took part in a range of fine art disciplines such as sculpture, painting, print-making and film. I have always had a strong interest in the creative arts and arts education. As a Fine Arts graduate I am passionate about the power of art in the curriculum to change and improve lives and academic and social development. My work includes ‘Wall of Bread’ in which I created a giant 10-foot by 8-foot wall, made only out of loaves of bread. This was one of my most successful pieces which represented a sense of values about community and a charitable environment. I feel that these are subjects that should inspire and influence creative work within the art world. I also publicised my ‘Wall of Bread’ using various social media sites so that I could broadcast my work and invite members of the local community to come and view the exhibition where this was shown.
