About me
I am a passionate singer/songwriter, guitarist and an energetic performer with a distinctive soulful voice that takes listeners on a musical journey of song and musical poetry. My lyrics are reflective of my life experiences; joy, sadness and love. Some of my most notable career moments have been djing in and around Glasgow as well as djing two charity events for Glasgow Kelvin College. I co-produced and wrote the Tin Forrest song for the BBC play for the commonwealth games in 2014. I am currently the frontman for the band Dekoda and am writing tracks for their forthcoming EP entitled “Reserved for your listening”. I have always pursued music in my life and it has been an amazing journey. From loving music at a very young age to djing, singing and song writing to performing on stage. I am grateful for the experiences I have had, and hope that there are many more to come in my future. In 2016 I started an HND in Music Business at Glasgow Kelvin College with a view to learning more about the business side of the music industry; publishing, copyright, promotion, marketing, accounting, law, entrepreneurship and artist management. During the course, I put together a management company project. I talent scouted and managed an artist called Calum Frame, who I managed to get signed to Electric Honey Records. Calum has since released a single ‘Til The Record Stops’ with an Ep release later this year. Calum’s single has gained a lot of interest and is doing well. My hard work, determination and passion is evident when I believe in something and I work hard to ensure it is successful. Another project that I was responsible for was the artist management project, where I promoted and managed a live music event. The event showcased Glasgow’s up and coming bands and solo acts: Toni Woods, The Whispering Pines and Anthony McElwee. This project was indeed a success with more ‘funkyrockafeller acoustic and indie music showcase’ events to come.
Projects credited in
  • Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, BBC Glasgow
Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, BBC Glasgow Among several BBC contracts, most notable among them was the idea of organising a part of the festival surrounding the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Elements of this project would later be used for Branchage (above) and involved setting up and running an entire stage within the festival run by the BBC, and developing an engaging programme of events for all ages, some of which were broadcast live across BBC television. Working to tight budgets, the event was delivered to universal acclaim, and again involved multidisciplinary vendors from technical through to creative and artistic.
