A highly ambitious Public Relations undergraduate pursuing opportunities in marketing communications and strategic planning in the consumer sector. I possess good written and verbal communication skills, and can work efficiently in both individual and team settings. Through internships with PR agencies and in-house communication departments, I have gathered experience in branding, visual merchandising and public affairs, and wish to develop myself further in an exciting and creative environment.
TEDxUAL is an independent event licensed by TED Global, and organised by students of the University of the Arts London (UAL). Debuting in 2016, the event continues to run exclusively for UAL staff and students annually. As the Public Relations Manager for TEDxUAL 2018, I am in charge of conceptualising the 2018 brand blueprint and communication strategies, working closely with the marketing department to oversee the marketing and outreach campaign for the event. I help to develop and curate original content for our Facebook and Instagram pages, and organise editorial calendars and production schedules for creative outputs. I also do media pitching for the event around and outside of UAL, and manage relationships with sponsors, partners and external affiliates.
Student Ambassador representing the BA (Hons) Public Relations course at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. As part of the Marketing department, I work closely with prospective students to apply and successfully progress to our courses or other courses within the University. Some of my duties include: - Providing application advice and counsel on-site during UCAS fairs and outreach events, and off-site over the phone and e-mail - Conducting content audits on UCAS pages/university databases where UAL/LCC are listed on - Writing blog posts for the BA (Hons) Public Relations course page on LCC's website - Developing content for e-zines/newsletters that are sent to prospective students - Assisting in the running of Open Days, grad shows, exhibitions and other outreach events in LCC I also work at the Information Centre as a front-of-house assistant, where I handle: - Meeting and greeting visitors to the university - Assisting students/staff/visitors with inquiries - Conducting facility tours around LCC - Tracking e-mail inquiries using Salesforce CRM - General administrative housekeeeping
My time was split between the Public Affairs team and reporting to the Marketing Manager of the Asia office. With the Public Affairs team, I produced daily media monitoring and coverage reports for clients. I assisted the Account Manager and Senior Account Executives by undertaking research projects and compiling data insights for annual reports. I also assisted the team in facilitating press conferences, interviews and events, by producing collaterals for media kits and providing on-site support. Working under the Marketing Manager, I assisted in developing content for H+K Asia's social media platforms. I helped to draft and produce in-house newsletters and electronic direct mailers. I also conducted daily media monitoring for H+K on trade publications and media, and produced coverage reports.
I assisted both the Brand Manager and Visual Merchandising Manager for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Branding team during my time here. With the Brand Manager, I undertook research tasks and helped to compile brand and market research insights. I conducted media monitoring on monthly lifestyle and fashion publications, compiling press and advertorial clippings to produce coverage reports. I also assisted in general administrative tasks like data and records entry. With the Visual Merchandising Manager, I assisted in designing planograms for store layouts and product placements; I helped to prototype the planograms with the office "mock shop" and set up the actual stores during product season changes. I also provided on-site support and undertook retail duties at stores and warehouse sales.
