About me
Dave started his advertising career in 1998 as a copywriter at BMPinteraction, which became Trib-al DDB in 2000. By 2001, Dave and his creative partner Sam Ball were made Creative Directors of Tribal DDB. They ran the Volkswagen, British Gas, Guardian and Nationwide accounts. In 2004 Dave became a founding partner in Lean Mean Fighting Machine, with the goal of being the best digital agency in the world. Their clients include Unilever, Land Rover, Google, and Con-verse. In 2005 Dave and Sam won Campaign's Young Achievers of the Year Award. The following year they were voted by their UK industry peers to be the number one creative team working in digital. In 2008 Dave was selected for the Observer’s Future 500. Over the years at Lean Mean Fighting Machine, Dave has picked up numerous awards including: Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, Clios, ADC, BIMA, Campaign BIG, and the Webbies. However the greatest achievement was realising their initial goal, by winning Cannes Digital Agency of the Year in 2008, the first and only UK agency to do so. Dave has served as a juror at Cannes and all the major awards juries, and has also been a Jury Chairman at D&AD, Art Directors Club and Creative Circle. In 2014 Lean Mean Fighting Machine merged with M&C Saatchi, where Dave is now a Creative Director.
