A graduate BSc Media Production student at De Montfort University, showcasing work in an array of commercial digital media projects, from graphic design re-branding to film production. I have always had a passion for producing content for TV, film and online media into all media outputs. I’ve been like that since a kid, and I cannot honestly think of another way I could spend my life in doing something that I enjoy day in and day out, and share with the world, to provide original and compelling content.
Media is becoming an ever-growing part of any business, and within technology I was charged with creating new and exciting ideas that could bring a wider audience to a niche field. This was a step up from my previous role as it is a field that was completely new to me, so it meant learning on the job whilst creating memorable and exciting content, working alongside clients such as IBM, Dell, Lenovo & Microsoft.
To produce a range of bespoke video production and media-related services designed to bring businesses into the 21st century. Due to the rise in content creation and digital marketing it’s required support for the media production team and various client shoots. I was involved in shadowing the main production team and managing my own individual video shoots. Working over a number of briefs, it varies from corporate to creative briefs and will be mainly products used for online marketing, distribution and attention.
Work in the magazine industry has been an eye opening experience and really taught me a lot about a working, busy environment. Starting of doing journalism, gaining knowledge on write-ups, interviewing techniques and writing in a published magazine, to creating content for the back pages and within the magazine, I have been entrusted with a various amount of roles which have increased my skills and allowed to focus my talents, on editing/graphics and film. It also allowed me to work with companies such as Nike on the 30th Basketball Festival as a designer with Remi Rough
