About me

Dammo has been a photographer since studying art, design and photography at college over 25 years ago. Whilst his primary career was initially graphic design, photography has always been his passion. Over 10 years ago Dammo started capturing Northern Soul and Mod nights having been asked to do this by event organisers, gaining comments on his black and white shots such as "You have the skill of making people look and feel special...like movie stars", "It's like your photography has Soul" and so "Dammo Photography - Photography with Soul" was born. Capturing live music and other events followed, which led to commissioned work covering a range of music and subculture events, including automotive work and the world famous Brighton Mod Weekender. Following on from those, headshots, portraits and corporate events are currently keeping him busy across the UK and Europe. Dammo has substantive experience and training, alongside being a member of the Master Photographers Association. Dammo has an extensive portfolio, and the ability to present distinctive photos that always show the subject's essence and qualities, often in his own Reportage/Documentary style.

  EddzUp and coming singer songwriter Eddz, based in Northampton, UK was looking for a series of images for use on social media and gig posters. We decided on a local, to him, gig venue, The Garibaldi Hotel, Northampton, as it had many different looks that appealed. Below are some of the shots.

  Brighton Mod Weekender 2020A much smaller affair than usual, due to Covid, but for those who made it, it was a well needed break from lockdowns etc.
