About me
Filming, editing and creating innovative content has become such a fulfilling part of my life. I'm experienced editing on Premier Pro and have an extensive range of camera knowledge. I graduated from the University of Derby in January 2015 with a 2:1 in BA Film and Television Studies where I learned to analyse specific critical and theoretical areas of moving imagery by exploring related topics such as scriptwriting, archiving and practical film making. I have overwhelming enthusiasm for all areas of the production process. My main objective is to be recognised for my involvement within the industry.

I was responsible for managing production from the ground up. I wrote and produced scripted and non-scripted TV shows for broadcast and researched and liaised with industry experts to build and maintain positive relations. I was in charge of organising and scheduling other production staff to ensure smooth running of the office. This included dealing with client contracts and maintaining we me client expectation within budget. I had to analyse scheduling and advertisement patterns to keep broadcasting running smoothly and I also had to control budgeting of all filming and production days. I was also my responsibility to film and light all production days we might have as well as deal with any freelancers we might have on the day. This included processing any invoices and negotiating contracts. Great team work, communication, technical ability and adaptability were essential to my success in this position.

    Video ProducerPrincess Cruises

In this position it was my responsibility to film and edit documentary style videos to then sell and market the finished DVD to passengers. This role was incredibly passenger focused and I had to build very positive relationships. I would have to be constantly selling the product everywhere, whilst I was filming, working in the gallery up-selling the videos and even eating. Keeping a strong, happy and positive attitude and relation with the public was essential. I was also working with a range of colleagues from different nationalities and backgrounds, so strong communication was key. Editing the videos to a strict deadline gained me strong computer based skills and techniques. All my responsibilities had to be done in line with Princess Cruise’s strong code of ethics and I was proud to wear the badge.
