About me

David Robinson is an Irish artist based in London. For the past 10 years his artwork has combined his passion for photography and food, producing magnificent and unique Fungi Luminograms and idiosyncratic films in his east-end darkroom. Commercial clients have included Pfizer, Adobe, Penguin/Random House, Sony and Universal. David's work was selected for inclusion in Picturing Eden (Steidl 2008) and he featured in BBC series Britain in Pictures - filmed whilst photographing ballrooms and other inspirational buildings in Northern Ireland where he grew up. He has had solo shows in London and Belfast and work included in various international group exhibitions. David collaborated with Gorilla Perfume / LUSH, creating a Luminogram to help promote one of their newly released fragrances, 'Mycelium'. He also featured on, The Food Programme (Mushrooms) - BBC Radio 4. His most recent book (and second for children) titled, 'Penny Bun Helps Save the World' was published in September 2018 by GOST.
